Music Sherpa

Tricia Halloran has been curating, DJing and obsessing over indie pop and rock since 1992 when she started hosting Brave New World at influential Los Angeles public radio station KCRW. She's currently working with KCRW on a new podcast about the '80s independent music scene, and working as a music supervisor on various film projects as well as television shows Dead To Me and New Amsterdam.

She believes that indie music is art, songs are healing, and a well-written lyric can move mountains.

DEIRDRE O’DONOGHUE AND THE LOST S.N.A.P. ARCHIVES

The Deirdre O’Donoghue archive amounts to a “secret history” of the pre-Nirvana underground (1982-1991), spanning hundreds of reel-to-reel tapes. Co-producers Bob Carlson (KCRW’s UnFictional) and Myke Dodge Weiskopf (KCRW’s Lost Notes) spent two years restoring these tapes. Host Tricia Halloran sets the stage for episodes 3-10 featuring Henry Rollins, Michael Stipe and more.
